Protoss units are very expensive. But the money is made up for in the power of the units. Protoss units have very powerful weapons, they have unique shields and most units have high armor. The Protoss tend to have the best special abilities. Psionic Storm is unmatched in power. The Arbiter, Observer, and the Reaver are all unique and useful units. Observers make a very interesting mix of cloaked recon machines with the ability to detect concealed units. Arbiters have the cloaking field that cloaks all surrounding units within a small radius. Reavers have incredible range and a devastating fire power. Protoss have the Probe, which does not have to stay near its building until it is done. It lays a warp field and leaves.
